Complaints Are Also Welcome In Hotel

Hotels are responsible for providing us with exemplary service. It is after all their mission to make their guests’ tenure with them comfortable & hassle-free. However, there will be times when that will not be the case. During your stay, you might encounter a problem or two that you feel needs to be addressed. But since most us do not like the idea of making a big fuss – let alone make a scene in public – you cannot help but second-guess what to do. So if you ever find yourself in this situation, you might want to consider having your voice heard out by the hotel you are staying in. First of all, hotels are prepared to deal with complaints. As a matter of fact, they even welcome it since this will allow them to know if they are doing something wrong. Of course, that does not mean that they will intentionally sabotage the quality of their service just to know what to do right next time.

After all, that is the reason why feedback forms were created. Also, when it comes to raising your concerns, make sure you inform the right person. Depending on the problem, you could either go to the front desk, the concierge, the duty manager, or even to the general manager just to let them know of your plight. Just do not limit it to your friends, family, or housekeeping. By letting the right people know of your problem, you are assured that action will be taken. It may take a while for it to be resolved given that the process of probing & investigating takes time. However you have a guarantee that something will be done to address the issue. Another thing that should be taken into consideration when it comes to complaining is the manner it was done. Even though the hotel may be at fault, these establishments – particularly the people that work there – will appreciate it immensely if it was done in a calm & decent manner. Throwing a fit may get their attention & put pressure on them to get the job done, but it could also work against you especially if it was determined later that the hotel, well, was not at fault at all.
