The Concord resort,located near the Kiamesha Lake features a luxury hotel,recreation & entertainment facilities & a Spa Ranch throughout the year. It has the World Famous “Monster” Golf Course which is listed in the 100 Greatest Golf Courses by the Golf Digest of America. The Concord hotel at the Borscht Belt of the Catskills was a world-famous destination, known for its huge resort industry from 1950s to ‘1970. The resort covered an area of 2000 acres. In 1936, a Russian Immigrant Arthur Winarick acquired the Kiamesha Property.
In 1939,he incorporated the property. On March, 16, 2000 the plans for a $500 million redevelopment were revealed. When completed,this will be one of the most significant development efforts taken by New York. An all year-round resort & residential community is also proposed. The overall plan is being designed by William B. Tabler & architects from New York City in coordination with Divney Tung Schwalbe which is an engineering & environmental design firm based in White Plains, New York. The site covers more than 1,600 acres of open space & the famous Golf Course too.
