A Great Habit to Starts As You Search for Your Next Best Jobs

I am going to share with you one of the best habits you can implement as you search for your next job. You will greatly increase your chances of receiving a job offer when you incorporate this practice into your job hunt.I stumbled on to this habit as I was starting out in sales. My goal was to become a top salesperson in the shortest amount of time. But one small factor was standing in my way: I did not know how to sell.Fortunately, I established a habit that served me well throughout my sales & management career. The habit has two parts:1. Ask successful people how they accomplished what you want to achieve.2. Put their suggestions & advice into action.

I began this habit as a salesperson with my first employer. I started asking the most successful sales people in our company what their “secrets” were. The advice I received from them helped me shortcut the learning curve. Their advice also enabled me to exceed company expectations & become a standout performer. When I left my first company after two years, I used the same habit in my next job & was rewarded with similar results. It was a habit that I continued for the next 20 years.Finding out what makes the top sales & management people successful is only half of the story. The second part – making sure that I followed their advice – is just as important. I became a consistently high sales performer by acting on the advice of top sales leaders throughout my career. There is no doubt in my mind that I would have struggled my entire career if it were not for the consistent use of this habit. The same habit will be just as effective in helping you find your next job as it was in helping me achieve success in sales.Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/5199709
